How to Report Animal Cruelty
1. CALL THE POLICE
- Give the name and address of the alleged abuser.
- Describe what he/she looks like.
- Tell them the type of animals involved and describe them.
- Give the location of where you last saw the animal. (In barn, house, yard, car, etc)
- Tell them what you observed being done to the animal.
- If you wish to meet with the police officer, give the dispatcher your name, address and phone number. You may remain anonymous.
- If a dispatcher tells you they won't investigate because you are
not willing to give your name, remind them that they are mandated by
law to investigate anonymous complaints. Contact CFACE immediately
if they refuse.
